As a follower of Jesus, one of the public demonstrations & declarations of your faith is believer's baptism.  This is a symbolic ordinance that provides a picture of the death, burial & resurrection of Jesus, and our associated death to self, buried with Him in baptism & raised to walk in the newness of life that only Jesus can give!!
